My Story

My name is Terri, and I hail from humour-loving Eastern Canada. To my friends and family, I am known as a nomad, I’ve always had an enduring curiosity about this world we live in, and as a result have visited over 36 countries. In my travel career I've lived in Switzerland and Nicaragua and Australia, but for now, I'm back home and living the dream in Nova Scotia, Canada, eh.
My fibre art is mid-century inspired - often a bit quirky, and always a lot of fun. Seeing my designs come to life brings me next level joy [and sometimes a few blisters]. My work is often born from some serious pun action - it’s all about those lolz because a day without laughter is...just kidding, I have no idea.
Here's a bit more juice on the woman behind the knots...
- I can tie other knots, but the vertical clove hitch is my one true love [shhhh, don’t tell the others, I don’t wanna hurt their feelings] because they transform a tapestry into a canvas that I can draw all over.
- I could eat breakfast all day everyday and sometimes I do.
- My Grandma taught me how to macrame at the tender age of 8 when she realized I was hopeless at knitting.
- If thrift shopping was a sport, I’d podium every time.
- I have a lady boner for the colour mustard.
- Living in Australia really ramped up my coffee snobbery and I've forsaken Starbucks forever.
Lastly, I just want you to know how much I love tying knots — that shit is tight! Please feel free to contact me; I'd love to hear your vision, and help you bring your macra-dreams to life!
